Chris’s oil paintings have overtones of impressionism and suggest at times a slightly moodier, melancholic structure. This pervading ‘mood’ allows the viewer to approach the work in a quiet and reflective manner. At times his palette is almost monochromatic, letting loose, energetic brushstroke come to the fore. His work has been well received both home and abroad.
